Keep the Teeth to Save the Heart!
The human mouth has some very unique bacteria. These bacteria have frequently been found in arteriosclerotic plaque after fatal heart attacks. Cardiovascular disease is really caused by inflammation, not fat like cholesterol. One of the main causes of inflammation is infection. If you see blood when you brush or floss your teeth, you may have periodontal disease, including infection. This periodontal disease is now accepted as one of the main causes of cardiovascular disease, including stroke!
